Based on interviews with the
owners of Gallop, London, we
wanted to quantify all of the
anxieties involved in working
with other people.

This was written up in the style of
the standard Health and Safety
poster that we all then signed.

For 'The Notion Nanny Tea Party' organised by B&B for New York artist Alison Smith's exhibition

Alison's project looked at hand-made crafts, history and protest. We thought a rendition from memory of Billy Joel's 'We didn't start the Fire' in fancy dress costumes as two of the characters listed in the song would be appropriate.

A provocative quote carefully
removed from a large sheet of card.
Then subjected to twenty minutes
of competitive darts.

This is from a series of works
where we take pot-shots at
inspiring but disquieting statements.

Whilst on a residency with
Grizedale Arts in the Lake District
we decided to spend a few days
holed up in an empty room in our
guesthouse.

Sat in front of the wall we carefully
traced around various woodchips in
the wallpaper with black paint.
Before we left we got the wall
painted back to it's original white.

foldout picnic table.

Built in the halls of the National
Gallery in Prague the paper
sculpture growing out of the table
records our time sat around the
table in the instalation days
running up to the opning of the
Prague Biennial.
